I only wash my thigh-length hair every few months – it took ages to 'train' it but it's NEVER looked better

WE’VE all gone longer than we’d like to admit without washing our hair.

But now women are shouting about their wash-free days, as skipping regular shampoos has made their locks less greasy.

Called hair training – the process sees you extend the amount of time between washes so you can go longer without a lather.

It took three months for retired Linda Berry to successfully train her hair.

The 65-year-old from Howich, Manchester says: “I wash my hair every couple of months.

“I’ve been doing this for the last five years and won’t do anything different now – it’s in great condition as a result.

“It took me three months to train my hair, I just left it longer each time between washes.

“I used to wash it one to two times a week – now that I’ve stopped washing as much it doesn’t get greasy.

“I’ve been growing it for the last 20 years and it now graces my thighs.

“I’ve always wanted long hair though which is why I grew it and it is easier to manage.

“Now I comb and plait it every day to keep it protected.
