While some women will resort to getting filler to conceal their smile lines, one beauty whizz has come up with a simple, yet very effective hack, meaning that you won’t have to have needles injected into your face.
Make-up fan Katy revealed that rather than splashing the cash on filler, she uses a £1.99 white pencil to conceal her smile lines.
Known on TikTok as @katyateyourlunch, the beauty lover has amassed an impressive 12k followers and 1.7million likes on the video sharing platform, where she regularly shares her simple beauty and make-up hacks.
Katy recently took to the social media app and shared her simple hack, which she posted with the caption ‘Using this without makeup on completely undetectable.’
She said: “Can’t afford filler? Get a white liner pencil.”

In the clip, we first see Katy without any make-up on.
She then takes a white make-up pencil and gently draws over her smile lines.
Once applied to her skin, Katy then uses her finger to blend in the pencil.
Doing so instantly makes her smile lines much less visible – and it only took a few seconds to do too.

At the time of writing, the video had been posted to TikTok just one day prior, but it had quickly racked up a whopping 838.7k views.
It had 17.7k likes, 173 comments and 59 shares.
Beauty lovers were very impressed with Katy’s simple hack, with many hailing it “genius”.
One person said: “Brilliant.”
Another added: “Omg I need to try this.”
A third commented: “I’ve been doing this for a while, it’s so effective!”
Whilst someone else noted: “You’re a genius.”
Meanwhile, one woman posted: “Cool idea! I’m definitely going to try this!! Maybe it will give me some more time before I go in for the filler.”
However, not everyone was as keen on the hack, with many thinking that the pencil would only enhance the area.
One user claimed: “This only looks good at first then it starts settling in that area.”
A second agreed: “If you have smile lines this will just enhance them tho.”
