I was a teen mum – people think my son’s my brother because I look so young… that's what falling pregnant at 16 gets you | The Sun

A MUM who had her son at 16 is constantly having to correct people who think he's her younger brother.

Sarah took to Instagram to share a Reel of herself and her little boy, as she wrote over the top: "Me correcting everyone who calls him my brother."

The fact that Sarah looks so young doesn't really help either, as she added: "Meanwhile I look 13 and he looks nothing like me."

She wrote in the caption: "What getting pregnant at 16 gets you."

And people in the comments section reassured Sarah that she wasn't the only one who had that assumption made about them.

"Lol cause my mom had my baby brother when I was 16 and I had to constantly correct people that I wasn’t his mom." one wrote.

"You haven’t."

A third commented: "You can barely take care of yourself at this age and you have to carry the burden of a child."

However, someone else hit back, writing: "If imma be honest this kid looks much happier than a lot of kids I know with parents who had them at age 30 do."
