I was trying on a cute LBD when my daughter humbled me REAL quick… she didn’t even mean it as an insult though | The Sun

WE all know that kids can say the most brutal things without any idea that they’re being rude.

One mum was reminded of this recently when she filmed herself trying on a gorgeous new little black dress, only for her daughter to make a rather offensive observation about how she looked.

The unnamed mum was modelling the skin-tight get up while filming herself on her mobile, when her daughter walked into the shot and came out with the insult.

“You look like you’re starting to get pregnant,” the youngster pointed out, walking over with her hand outstretched to touch her mum’s very-slightly visible stomach.

“Are you?” she asked, as the woman grimaced and said “no” with as much composure as she could muster.

“Then why does it look like you are?” the cheeky kid asked, at which point the mum couldn’t help but let out a chortle.

She then switched off the camera, adding another shot of her daughter cradling her stomach in her hands while she giggled.

“Nothing like children to humble you,” she added, clearly taking the innocent mishap in good humour.

The clip racked up a whopping 100k likes when it was posted on the TikTok account @hoest, with viewers split over whether she should pull up her daughter.

“That should have been a teaching moment,” one viewer wrote.
