YOU might think you know how to mop properly, after all you've probably been doing it for years.
But according to this cleaning expert, there's a correct way to do it and you might've been doing it all wrong.
Caroline Solomon is a cleaning and decluttering pro who suitably goes by Neat Caroline online.
She who often sharing her useful tips and tricks on TikTok and her mopping tricks will have your floor gleaming in no time.
First, before you even think about mopping it's vital that you vacuum and dust the area first.
This will ensure that the floor is clear to be cleaned more effectively and will stop any dust from getting stuck in your mop.
After that, the pro suggested using a simple mopping solution made from warm water and dish soap instead of forking out for pricey floor cleaners.
Make sure your mop or mop pad is fully damp "so it can pick up more dirt," Caroline added.
Sure cleaning in random lines might get the job done, but using your mop in an 'S' pattern is so much more efficient according to the cleaning whizz.
This will ensure you don't miss and spots so you can mop less often in the future.
