WHEN a supermarket releases a brand new range of takeaway dupes, it’s hard to know which dish to plump for that’s actually worth the spend.
That’s why food blogger Becca has reviewed every item from Asda’s new Chinese takeaway range, ranking them from worst to best so you know exactly which to go for.
The 26-year-old influencer regularly shares her taste tests on supermarket and restaurant items with her 108k followers on her TikTok account @BeccaEatsEverything.
And in a recent clip that’s racked up 85k likes so far, the foodie rated all of Asda’s new House of Yum Chinese eats.
To begin, Becca tried the Beef Teriyaki – but she described the dish as “grim”.
“It was syrup chilli water,” she continues, “and it was one dish I would not recommend from this range,” with her rating it just four out of 10.

The food blogger next gave the Ginger Fried Rice a go, but she revealed she “couldn't taste any ginger”, describing it as “very bland and not worth shelling out on”.
Priced at £2.50, she recommended you’d be better off buying a cheaper microwave packet or making your own, giving it a five out of 10.
Her “third worst” product was the Katsu Chicken Curry, with her noting that the “sauce was a little bitter and the chicken crumb was bland”.
“The chicken was very nice though” Becca noted, “so it’s a little bit disappointing that the rest of the dish didn’t carry through,” with her giving it a six out of 10.

Moving up, she tried the Tempura Prawns with a Tamarind Dip, which she described as “very juicy”, but found that the breadcrumbs lacked seasoning.
“I also feel like they could have picked a nicer sauce to accompany it,” she stated, rating it a seven out of 10.
Next up were the Chilli Udon Noodles, which she said had “plenty of chilli and a slight oil to them”.
Her only real gripe was the texture, which she described as a “bit like rubbery calamari” – and for that reason she gave it a 7.5 out of 10.
Becca then tested the Jasmine Sticky Rice, which she called “lovely and sticky”, and rated an impressive eight out of 10.
Towards the top end came the Beef Massaman Curry, which Becca said was “so good”.
The coconut and peanut dish had “beautiful flavours and spices” according to the influencer, and the beef was so tender it was “falling apart”.
“It’s a must try,” the foodie added, ranking it a nine out of 10.
Her second favourite dish was the Half Crispy Duck, which comes with 12 pancakes and a serving sauce – all for just £4.50.
“I honestly had to do a double take to make sure they had actually got the price right,” Becca confessed, giving the “absolutely fantastic” dish a nine out of 10.
But top of the pile was the Char-Siu Roast Pork, which the food blogger says absolutely blew her away.
“The flavours were so delicious and the pork was melting in your mouth,” she added. “It was incredible that a supermarket created this.”
