HOW many times have you gone to do up your child’s car seat, only to find the straps all tangled?
Well, you’re not alone as a fellow parent has shared their frustrations at the common occurrence, before revealing their trick to sort it in seconds.
TikTok user @twinklparents, who regularly share helpful tips and tricks for mums and dads, posted a video of their technique under the caption: “Thank me later!”
In it, they show a twisted car seat belt, and how it just wouldn’t budge.
She then said: “Don’t ask me why these car seat buckles end up turning themselves the wrong way – but I’ve got a hack to help you.”
@twinklparents then recorded herself doing her tried and tested method, which can be done in seconds.

Demonstrating as she went, she continued: “All you need to do is simply fold it so it makes a triangle shape.”
Once the material was folded in on itself, the social media user gently pulled the buckle upwards, until it detangled itself.
She went on to say: “Then pull it over and down again and da da – you’re welcome.”
And their followers were thrilled they’d found the game changing trick, as they remembered how frustrating a tangled car seat belt can be.
