AN INTERIOR expert has revealed the one design trend you should never incorporate into your home.
Loren Kreiss, an interior designer to the likes of Paul McCartney, Ronald Reagan, and Frank Sinatra revealed his tip on TikTok.
The interior designer revealed nobody should have it in their home unless they were a pirate.
He said: "Hear me out.
"Unless you have captain in your name or happen to be a sailor or a pirate, there is no need to have anything nautically themed in your home."
While you may love the open waters he revealed there's no need to include it in your home at a large scale.

He explained: "I get it, you love the beach, and so do I.
"But nothing has to be that literal.
"Unless you have sand on your feet from a recent trip to the beach, there's no reason to have sand in your home."
Instead, he recommended adding less obvious themes than anchors and fish interiors.

"Alright, captain! I think what you’re trying to say is beach/nautical is ticky tacky when someone goes overboard with it. Subtle is better,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: "Thank god you said this!!!!"
