Mum shares hidden feature on Kinder eggs which make the toys all the more exciting… and it's completely FREE

A MUM has revealed a hidden feature on Kinder eggs which makes the plastic toys all the more exciting.

Vicky Tapp took to the Extreme Coupons and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share news of a free app, called Applaydu, which allows users to bring the toys to life in a virtual reality world.

"For people that buy your kids kinder eggs theirs an app that comes with them so when your kid gets animals you can scan them and they come to life in your home" Vicky wrote.

"My daughter had a puma and she could see it under our table abs running around our kitchen she can also feed it food and learn on the app about where it lives and other fun facts, making good use of the naff plastic toys they get inside."

She added in a comment: "Just did another three.

"We bought the kinder box of 3 that specifically has the animals and the app sign on the outer box so you know your not wasting money hoping for an animal inside.

"Didn’t know they had different designs to hint what was inside."

While some parents were already aware of the app, others were thankful for Vicky's suggestion.

"I think both boys would love it, I suppose it's like a wee tamagotchi type thing, as u need to take care of the wee animal it in the app," another person added.

On the app's website, it's described as an "edutainment app for children between 4-9 years, with the aim to help them develop skills through fun family activities".

It includes mini games, visual arts and crafts, a storybook builder and bedtime stories to read.

It was developed by Kinder, with the help of a set of guidelines provided by Oxford University's Department of Education.
