My ex’s dog bit my ear off… doctors sewed it on but it went black – I refused to miss my sister’s wedding so rocked it

A WOMAN has revealed the traumatic moment her ex’s dog bit her ear off and she was left needing prosthetics.

TikTok user Erin Doherty uploaded a video showing the saga and how she nearly missed her twin sister’s wedding.

Posting on her @erdohert account, she wrote: “A few months ago my ex’s dog bit my ear off.

“He found it on the ground and brought it to the hospital on ice to get it sewn back on.

“I missed my twin sister’s bachelorette that I spent a year planning.

“My ear turned black and rotted but I went to the wedding with a black ear and got lit anyway.”

Erin revealed how doctors eventually had to remove her rotting ear and she started trialling prosthetics.

Thankfully she saw the funny side of the situation and even went as Van Gogh for Halloween.

She zoomed in on her life-like prosthetic ear and said: “Finally got this bad boy pierced and to take home.

“New year, new ear.”

In a follow-up video, she explained how her former partner had gone to the toilet and his dog had started growling at her.

She said: “It was the first time I’d ever been alone with the dog and he was aggressive toward me before but my ex was always around.

“I think I was spooked or scared or something and he just started growling.

“He whipped around and started biting me and he attacked my hand. I had stitches and scars and stuff from that.

“Instinctively I went like this and covered my head so he bit my ear off.”

She said her ear was detached for six hours which is why sewing it back on failed.

Erin said she now glues on her prosthetic ear but eventually she’ll get a magnetic piece.

Many people praised her for being brave, with one saying: “You’re such a positive and strong person. I’m so sorry this happened to you.”
