A PREGNANT woman picked the perfect name for her baby boy but was gutted when her family hated it and said he sounded like he was in a "drug gang".
The upset mum-to-be said that her family made it obvious they wanted her to have a girl and were disappointed when she said it was a boy.
They have also told her she can't name her child Reggie as it conjures up images of gangsters.
Taking to Mumsnet, she said: "I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my second, its a boy again, which my family made it very obvious they wanted a girl and was disappointed when I revealed it's a boy.
"After weeks and weeks of discussing names with my partner we finally settled on Reggie a couple of weeks ago.
"We kept it to ourselves until we knew it would stick and now its stuck we have been telling family.

"It's really upsetting me and I'm due to go to a sibling's birthday party tomorrow and I really don't want to go as I know the topic of names will be brought up."
Fellow Mumsnet users were quick to jump in with their thoughts on the situation.
One person said: "Unless your first born is Ronnie then they can stick their opinion where the sun don't shine."
While another said: "It sounds as though your family are ill mannered joy thieves.
"Stealing your joy about having a lovely baby boy by expressing their own disappointment and then, as if that wasn't bad enough, stealing your joy at announcing your perfect name by telling you to pick something else.
"I'm so sorry they have behaved so appallingly."
A third person said this was exactly why you should keep your child's name to yourself before they're born.
They said: "People tend to not give you such negative reactions if you hold off announcing until after the child is actually born – few people would be so rude to an actual baby.
