Prince William says being a dad-of-three is so exhausting he naps any free minute he gets – The Sun

THERE is no end to things that a prince could get up to in his spare time, but when it comes to Prince William there’s nothing better than a nap.

The Duke of Cambridge has admitted that being a dad-of-three is so tiring that any spare moment he has is used to sleep.

William, 37, made the admission to singer Eric Clapton at a 30th anniversary dinner for the London Air Ambulance on Thursday.

According to Hello! when Eric asked the royal about his hobbies, William said: “With the children it's quite hard to get the time off.

"Any free time I do get I sleep!"

William and his wife Kate Middleton are parents to three children, Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and one-year-old Prince Louis.

This is not the first time that the Duke has spoken about his lack of sleep when it comes to fatherhood.

In May, when congratulating his brother Prince Harry on the birth of his son Archie, he said: "“I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.”

And in April last year, the Duke was pictured struggling to keep his eyes open in Westminster Abbey, two days after the birth of his youngest Louis.

He could be seen dropping his head momentarily and closing his eyes, before jerking himself awake during the hour long Anzac Day service.

When it comes to their parenting style the Cambridges have always wanted their children "to live in the real world" an expert revealed.

“Kate has always wanted the children to live in the real world,” a royal source says. “She and William don’t want them to live in a gilded bubble. They want them to grow up having the same experiences as other kids.”

By her own admission it hasn’t always been easy. After Charlotte’s birth, Kate revealed: “Becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge – even for me, who has support at home that most mothers do not.

“Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother.
