Royal Family news – Prince Harry may have left UK for good as remaining belongings taken from Frogmore Cottage

PRINCE Harry’s remaining belongings have been taken from Frogmore Cottage and placed in storage.

Windsor Castle staff stripped his and wife Meghan’s living quarters and bedroom after he flew back to California following the unveiling of Princess Di’s statue on July 1.

It is not known who ordered his belongings, said to include framed pictures, to be boxed up and left at the nearby castle.

But it has sparked claims Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, may never return to Frogmore and will hand the luxury cottage back when the rental deal runs out next April.

Royal sources say it is “impossible to conceive” the couple will return for next year’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee after Harry agreed to pen a tell-all memoir.

PRINCE HARRY’S UPCOMING MEMOIR ‘NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A F*** YOU’ TO FAMILY – BUT ROYALS ARE WORRIED OVER SURPRISE BOOK

Insiders claim the Duke of Sussex simply wants to tell his “truth” and has no intention to deliberately hurt his family.

A source told PageSix it is not the duke’s plan to abandon his family for good.

He has instead approached the book as a way to reflect on his life and correct misinformation.

However, royal insiders couldn’t disagree more, with almost all senior royals fearful of a repeat of the Oprah Winfrey interview – or worse.

One said: “On what planet does Harry think that this is not a ‘f*** you’ to the family?”

WHAT WILL THE DUKE AND DUCHESS’ NETFLIX SERIES BE ABOUT?

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Productions announced last Wednesday that a programme with the working title “Pearl” will be developed for the streaming service.

Meghan created the idea of the family-focused animated series, which was inspired by a variety of women from history.

She will serve as an executive producer with filmmaker David Furnish, who worked as a producer on Rocketman and Sherlock Gnomes.

“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges,” Meghan said in a statement.

“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history,” she added.

PRINCE HARRY’S NEW BOOK IS REVENGE FOR WILLIAM ALWAYS HAVING IT BETTER THAN HIM

Angela Levin has had her say on Harry’s latest announcement of his new memoir. She doesn’t seem to be his biggest fan, stating “After telling his story in Finding Freedom, spilling the beans to Oprah Winfrey – twice – now he is writing his ‘literary memoir‘, whatever that is.

“Why is he writing a book?

“The only thing I can think of is that he wants revenge. He is fed up with being the spare to the heir.”

MEGHAN Markle gushes about wanting to be a “London girl” and loves “London men” in an unearthed video.

The Duchess of Sussex opened up to her ex-pal Lizzie Cundy at a red carpet event – and made no secret of her interest in staying in the UK.

In the unseen footage, Meghan can be heard saying: “I’ve had the best time in London, fans are amazing

“It is very cold but the people are so warm as cheesy as that sounds, I was joking that I’ve never been called ‘love’ or ‘darling’ more in my life it makes me want to stick around for a while.”

      ROYAL ROUNDUP

      • Harry and Meghan are ‘vicious, cruel & self-serving’ for doing Oprah Winfrey chat, says Charles’ biographer
      • Eugenie and Beatrice are 'stunned' by plans for the book – despite remaining close with Harry
      • Meanwhile, the last of the Duke's belongings have now been removed from his former home, Frogmore Cottage
      • An expert claims Meghan struggled to understand her duty to the Queen – and just wanted the 'American dream'
      • And Harry's biographer says the memoir is 'revenge for William always having it better'

MEGHAN MARKLE ‘WILL WRITE A WELLNESS GUIDE AS PART OF FOUR-BOOK MEGA-DEAL AFTER £29M BIDDING WAR’

The Duchess will pen the tome as part of a contract she and Prince Harry have struck with Penguin Random House.

And one of Harry's books can only be released after the Queen's death – likely deepening the Royal Family's reservations over the deal, it's reported.

Lawyers for the couple initially said they wouldn't be commenting on those claims – but later said they were "false and defamatory" and only one memoir is planned.

That book will be published next year. Harry vowed that it will examine the "highs and lows" of his extraordinary life.

It will arrive during the year of his grandmother's Platinum Jubilee.

And his wife will also write a volume in the quartet, the Daily Mail reports.

      LEGAL BATTLES

Thomas Markle’s legal threat comes after Meghan and Harry have repeatedly gone to court or threatened legal action over various claims.

Two months ago, The Sun reported that Meghan will face another court hearing to decide how much money she will receive in her “torturous” privacy battle.

The Duchess of Sussex, 39, won her privacy row against the Mail on Sunday in February after it published extracts of a letter that she wrote to her dad.

In June 2021, Prince Harry threatened legal action against the BBC over claims he didn’t ask the Queen to name his baby daughter Lilibet.

And this month has seen Harry and Meghan’s plan to trademark Archewell hit a setback at the hands of US lawyers.

LADY LOUISE ‘COULD USE PRINCESS TITLE’ MONTHS AFTER CHARLES AND EDWARD TITLE ROW

The Earl and Countess of Wessex’s daughter will be legally entitled to style herself as Her Royal Highness Princess Louise – just as her cousins Beatrice and Eugenie do.

But she could be alone in her title change as Prince Charles is said to be refusing to grant his younger brother Edward – Louise’s dad – the title of Duke of Edinburgh after their father Philip’s death.

A source told the Daily Mail: “If Charles is going to play silly games over titles, Edward and Sophie might need to ensure that they use the titles their family already have.

“Louise is a humble teenager and doesn’t act like a princess, but she is one – that’s a fact.”

Edward has waited over twenty years to inherit his late father’s title – but Charles is reportedly less keen on the idea.

        KATE AND MEGHAN’S TEARS

Reports of the row over bridesmaid dresses first surfaced when it was reported Meghan had made Kate cry in the run-up to her and Harry’s wedding in May 2018.

But in her Oprah Winfrey TV interview, Meghan, 39, denied that and claimed it was the other way round.

She said “the reverse happened” and that Kate had apologised to her for making her cry.

Meg added: “The narrative with Kate – which didn’t happen – was really, really difficult and something that. I think that’s when everything changed, really.”

2ND BOOK TO BE RELEASED AFTER QUEEN’S DEATH

The second of the books is due out only after the Queen has died, the Daily Mail reported.

Industry insiders reportedly said the "tell-all" premise of Harry's memoir was just the "tip of the iceberg".

Two publishers reportedly flew out from London to Harry's home in California and took part in an 'auction' for the rights to his book.

A source told the Mail: "He conducted negotiations – he had a very 'take it or leave it' attitude.

"Those involved were actually very shocked by his approach, which was to look at them coldly and state his demands: $25million."

PRINCE HARRY & MEGHAN MARKLE ‘VICIOUS, CRUEL & SELF-SERVING’ FOR DOING OPRAH WINFREY CHAT

Prince Charles' biographer has blasted Harry and Meghan for being "vicious, cruel and horribly self-serving".

Jonathan Dimbleby said the couple did "great damage" to the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family during their tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking at the Buxton International Festival in Derbyshire this week, the veteran broadcaster, 76, said, as reported by the Daily Mail: "I think that the interview was a very great shame.

"I think it did great damage of a kind that was undeserved to the royal household and specifically to the Queen and her family."

The bombshell broadcast saw Harry say there was "a lot of hurt" between him and his father and that Charles had stopped taking his calls.

He also alleged he was cut off financially after Megxit.

PRINCESS EUGENIE & BEATRICE ‘STUNNED’ BY PRINCE HARRY’S TELL-ALL BOOK

Harry, 36, is set to publish his explosive memoir which he vowed will examine the "highs and lows" of his extraordinary life.

Members of the Royal Family are now waiting to see what the duke will write about them.

A senior royal reportedly told the Daily Mail: "The emotional turmoil as they wait over a year for publication is going to be torturous.

"What's really telling is even the relatives he remains closest to, like princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, are stunned by what he's up to."

Eugenie has long been close with her first cousin and is said to have played a key role in Harry meeting his wife Meghan Markle.

Eugenie is believed to be the only member of the Royal Family to have maintained a special relationship with the Sussexes since they moved to Los Angeles.

CHANGING OF THE GUARD RETURNS TO WINDSOR CASTLE

The Changing of the Guard ceremony has been performed at Windsor Castle for the first time since the pandemic began.

The 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards were given the honour of staging the event at the Queen’s Berkshire home in their familiar scarlet tunics and iconic bearskins.

Second Lieutenant Henry Turnbull, Captain of the New Guard at Windsor Castle, said the pandemic meant he was taking part in his first Changing of the Guard and the experience had been “really special”.

The officer, who is Platoon Commander Inkerman Company, 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards and on a gap-year commission in the Army, added: “The guardsmen have been working really, really hard over the past few weeks to prepare for this special occasion – lots of bits of kit to prepare.

“And to take part in the first Ceremonial Guard Mount is really, really special, especially to have crowds back today with restrictions being lifted makes it extra special, nothing compares to marching up the street out in Windsor.”
