WHEN there are so many different anti-ageing tips, tricks and products out there all promising to make us look – and feel – fabulous it can be hard to know which ones to trust.
The proof is in the pudding as they say, so taking tips from a skincare expert's tried and tested personal anti-ageing beauty routine is probably a good place to start.
Here, make up artist, skin therapist and Ella & Jo Cosmetics co-founders Charlene Flanagan and Niamh Ryan share the hacks and tips they personally use to look 10 years younger.
And the best bit? You don't need to break the bank to give it a go yourself…
Money-savvy skin solution
You don't need to spend a fortune to look after and rejuvenate your skin.
Simply grab some coconut oil (which you can pick up in Holland and Barrett for £1) and some cold spoons from the fridge and massage the face to drain toxins, reduce puffiness, increase circulation and blood flow to help reveal a brighter, firmer and more youthful looking skin.

Then, warm up the coconut oil in your hands – a little goes a long way.
Start at the collar bone and work up along your jawline towards your ear applying firm pressure with your fingertips and knuckles along the jawline.
Always remember to start at the bottom and work up and out for drainage.
Lightly tap along the eye socket with fingertips underneath your eye to reduce puffiness and reduce dark circles.

Work from the inner part of the eye beside your nose all the way out to your ears to flush out toxins.
Pinch along your eyebrows to release tension and stimulate the muscles to prevent sagging.
Then, remove the coconut oil thoroughly with a damp warm microfibre mitt.
'Botox In A Bottle'
As we age, fewer natural oils, hormonal changes, sun damage and decreased cell renewal can all lead to dryer skin.
Applying a Hyaluronic Acid Serum underneath makeup helps plump the skin and allows for an effortless application.
Your makeup will simply glide onto your skin leaving a more radiant, youthful, and healthy complexion in place, all day long!
For an extra boost try a Hyaluronic facial skin mist or serum like the Ella & Jo 3 in 1 Hyaluronic Skin Mist, £23.00.
This formula, dubbed “botox in a bottle”, is your quick fix solution to all your hydration needs.
A couple of spritz of this hydrating formula will enhance your skins radiance, help plump fine lines, and refresh your makeup without the need for re-application.
Switch to cream-based products
Change your blushers, bronzers and eyeshadows to cream formulas in replacement of powders.
Cream products will help add moisture back into mature skin and are more pigmented to help cover redness or age spots that powder could not.
As well as this, powders can sit on top of the skin, which can eventually settle into and enhance fine lines and wrinkles.
Simply apply cream formulas with your fingers (less is more) for an instant glow and lift that will have people complimenting on your radiance all day!
Last but by no means least, one of the key skincare products you should be applying on to the skin every single day is an SPF.
It's the most effective pro-ageing product because it protects what you already have.
UV damage can result in sagging of the skin, loss of tone and pigmentation – all of which can be prevented by using a broad-spectrum SPF.
