Al Roker received Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday’s episode of the “Today” show, documenting the process live from New York’s Lennox Hill Hospital.

The 66-year-old, who underwent prostate cancer surgery last fall, told viewers that he qualified for the vaccine in New York state because he’s over 65 — not because he’s a celebrity.

“All weekend long, I went on the New York state Health dot Gov website and kept logging in and adding in my information, kept logging in, and logging in,” he said, noting that he found success on Sunday morning.

“I kept hitting refresh, refresh, refresh on the browser, and finally got in,” Roker continued. “… They put up a certain number of appointments each day and then, luck of the draw.”

Roker said his brother Christopher Roker, CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, previously said, “Hey, you can come here,” but the TV weather anchor said “no.”

“… I said, ‘I don’t want to jump the line, I want to do this officially,’” he said.

He’s expected to get the second dose of the vaccine in a few weeks.

Steve Martin and Martha Stewart recently also got the vaccine. Both Martin, 75, and Stewart, 79, made it clear they waited in line with others.
