If your hair is very prone to frizz, then you’re no doubt all too aware that woolly hat wearing can cause some fuzzing to your curls in the winter months. And goodness knows when you’ve spent so long washing and styling, the last thing you want is for anything to flatten your curls.
That’s one reason why independent brand Only Curls’ Satin Lined Beanie Hats, £22 here, are proving so very popular. Case in point: they completely sold out within four weeks of launching, but are fortunately now back in stock for curly girls everywhere to shop once more.
Lined with polyester satin, these hats help to prevent frizz and preserve your curl pattern in the same way that sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase does. Although they are suitable for all hair types, the reason that the lining material is so good for curls is because it absorbs very little moisture from the hair, avoiding dryness and any unwanted excess frizz.
It’s clear that these trending beanies are a hit with the curly community: almost all of the hundreds of online reviews are at five stars, and according to the brand, its most-asked question of last year was “when are you restocking the beanies?”.
“Love it! It’s warm, looks great and stops static/frizz, [I] would highly recommend,” writes one happy customer on the brand’s website.
Another adds, "I have quite a few of these Beanie Hats and I love them. They look stylish and the satin lining keeps my hair frizz free."
After selling out within a month of launching, thousands of fans then amassed to the waiting list for news of a restock of the hats, which are available both with and without the fun pom-pom.
By popular demand the brand has also expanded on the number of colours available, so you can now choose from 16 different options. There are also satin-lined baseball hats on offer for the summer months, £16 here.
If you’re after one of these coveted beanies then run, don’t walk, because we predict another sell out on the cards! We’ll take three, please…
