Adult webcam platform CamSoda has launched a brand new program which will pay quarantined people to broadcast themselves – “Truman Show” style.
Dubbed “quaranstream” the company will pay $200 (£144) to people who allow voyeurs to watch them through their phone or laptop camera.
The streams will be accessible as “Quarantine Voyeur Cams” on the CamSoda website.
It's a little unusual, but you could stream yourself watching Netflix, doing work or even just eating a snack.
Or, you could be a little more risqué – that's up to you.
Would you broadcast your life? Tell us in the comments section below…
Daryn Parker, VP of CamSoda, said: “We’ve all seen people we follow on social media traveling all over the U.S. on mini excursions now that most domestic travel restrictions have been lifted."
“Those who are eager to see new countries are mostly able to do so too these days, but they may find themselves in the unfortunate situation of needing to quarantine in a cramped hotel room for an extensive amount of time to comply with a country’s COVID-19 safety guidelines.
“Or they are just stuck at home.
He continued: “And let’s face it. There’s only so many puzzles, books, TV shows, at-home workouts and even masturbation that’ll keep people busy in a 325 square foot room before they go stir-crazy.
“CamSoda is here to add some excitement into the lives of quarantiners, pay them handsomely and provide some entertainment for all of us at home.
“This is the Truman Show but in COVID times.”
So, how does it work?
Well, broadcasters sign up for CamSoda Quaranstream and agree to jump into the world of paid live-streaming.
In return for their participation, CamSoda will pay them $200, for 14 days of quarantine.
Broadcasters simply situate a webcam or their phone camera in their room and press broadcast.
