Camila Cabello unveils 80s mullet hairstyle and it’s giving Miley Cyrus vibes

She’s known for her lengthy brunette waves, but now Camila Cabello has completely switched up her beauty look with a bold new haircut.

Following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus, Maisie Williams and Rihanna, the Havana singer has jumped on the mullet bandwagon – and it’s serving up serious 80s glam-rock vibes, with long, wet-look waves at the back and a short, shaggy fringe.

Camila’s hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos has shared the look to Instagram, where the singer is seen modelling her new ‘do alongside some very punk-looking outfits. Her glam, created by makeup artist Ash K Holm, is equally as swoon-worthy, including a dramatic cut-crease eye look, graphic liner and tons of rhinestones.

In one post, the singer poses to the side, showing off her mullet in full force. While we’re unsure whether her hairstyle is here to stay, we’re totally obsessed with the look and according to the comment section, so are her fans.

“This mullet is giving me LIFE,” one person writes.

“I’m obsessed with the mullet,” another adds, posing fire emojis.

The love for the look continues on Camila’s own Instagram account, where the star has shared some more snaps of her new hairstyle with her 60.7 million followers.

In one post that’s been liked by over 900K people, one fan compares the star to the mullet ambassador herself, Miley Cyrus.

“It’s giving Miley,” Camila’s fan writes in the comment section.

“Living icon,” another dubs her, as a third simply puts: “Queen.”

We’re not sure if it’s the Joe Exotic effect but mullets, wolf cuts and shaggy styles have risen in popularity since the pandemic, with many models and celebrities rocking the trending look.

Miley first chopped off her hair in lockdown to match her new rockstar aesthetic, but since then, it’s become her trademark. First came the star’s Tiger King-inspired mullet, followed by a curly shaggy ‘do, then a wavy bowl-cut similar to Oasis’ iconic hairstyles.

More recently, the singer has been spotted rocking a two-tone wolf cut with dark brunette sections peeking out underneath her bleach blonde locks.

The wolf cut, which is a mix of a classic shag cut and the modern mullet has taken TikTok by storm, and is characterised by lots of choppy layers and a heavy full fringe.

We don’t know about you, but all this mullet-talk is making us want to go for the chop.
