John Lewis is one of the nations’ favourite retailers and is a one-stop-shop for those looking to tick off all the items on their Christmas list.
It’s got fashionable home accessories, clothes, children’s toys, food hampers and the latest beauty must-haves, meaning there’s something for everyone under one roof.
But with the cost-of-living crisis putting a strain on the festive budget, John Lewis has come up with ways to make shopping with them more affordable.
First-off, the minimum spend on Click and Collect orders has been removed until the October 19, making it easier for customers to make smaller orders ahead of Christmas.
The retailer has also extended its returns policy, by a lot, allowing customers to buy Christmas presents now and still exchange or return the unwanted gifts until January 28.
This is the first time the retailer has ever brought the policy as far forward as September, because of evidence that shoppers are buying holiday essentials much earlier this year to spread the cost.
John Lewis is also running a series of promotions across home, fashion and tech starting from October, to help early birds who are prepping ahead.
Offers include a free £100 gift card when customers purchase selected electrical items, as well as hundreds of affordable toys under £10 – including LEGO from £3.49.
Claire Pointon, Director of Customer at John Lewis, said: ‘We want to be here for all life’s moments and, despite all the cost of living pressures, we’ve seen that our customers are still determined to celebrate Christmas and are buying earlier to help spread out the cost.
‘We want to give our customers the piece of mind that items purchased in the run up to Christmas can still be exchanged or returned after the big day.’
