The two also have ‘no secrets’ and share ‘all passwords’ with each other.

‘These are things we agreed on in our relationship over time and from experience,’ Jaden told Fox News.

‘These are just things that work for us in our current stage of life, and we were shocked to see how controversial they were.’

Jaden and Andy are both Christian and say their marriage is ‘rooted in our faith’.

However the habits weren’t determined by their religion.

‘While we believe that marriage is the greatest commitment one can make and want to protect our marriage, none of the things mentioned in the video are based solely on our faith,’ Jaden said.

The clip quickly went viral with many questioning whether they had trust in their relationship.

‘Sounds like a lack of trust in my opinion,’ one woman wrote, another said: ‘Tell me you don’t trust each other without telling me.’

A third wrote: ‘How often do y’all check that stuff? Having it is one thing, checking on each other all the time sounds like a trust problem.’

Some went further and dubbed the habits as ‘toxic’.

Despite the backlash, others said they too have implemented ‘rules’ in their own marriage.

‘That’s not weird at all! My husband and I do the same! Leaves no room for insecurity,’ one woman wrote.

Another commented: ‘We have the same rules. It’s not a trust issue, it’s a safety and respect issue in terms of location and no opposite gender friends.’
