Emma Watson is taking a break from the silver screen.
The “Harry Potter” star, 30, is retiring from acting, the Daily Mail reported. Watson’s agent told the outlet that she is “dormant” from her career and won’t be taking on any new projects for the foreseeable future.
She also reportedly looking to spend more time with rumored fiancé Leo Robinton. The couple have reportedly been dating since 2019.
Watson’s rep didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Watson’s alleged retirement comes after a rocky road following her last film, Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of “Little Women.” Page Six reported in December 2019 that Watson refused to join her fellow cast mates— Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern, Timothée Chalamet and Meryl Streep—on the press tour and simply attended the movie’s premiere.
“Emma’s reps told Sony that she would only do the premiere,” a movie source told us at the time. “We don’t really know what happened, if she wasn’t happy with the movie or fell out with the cast.”
“Little Women” went on to be nominated for five Oscars and won one for costume design.
Watson previously dated actor Chord Overstreet. The couple called it quits in May 2018. In October 2018, she was spotted on a romantic getaway with tech CEO Brendan Wallace.
