Fantasy football tips: Man City or Liverpool – which team has the easiest Premier League run-in?
Liverpool
- Burnley (H)
- Fulham (A)
- Spurs (H)
- Southampton (A)
- Chelsea (H)
- Cardiff (A)
- Huddersfield (H)
- Newcastle (A)
- Wolves (H)
With the exception of two tricky looking clashes against Spurs and Chelsea, Liverpool fans will be quietly optimistic about their run-in.
Favourable fixtures against Burnley, Fulham, Cardiff and Huddersfield are still to come and will give Klopp’s side a big chance up picking up maximum points.
Even the mammoth clashes with Spurs and Chelsea both take place at Anfield where Liverpool are unbeaten so far this season.
As impressive as Liverpool have been in attack this season the real success story has been at the back.
The Reds have conceded just 15 goals in the league all season in what is the first full campaign at the club for defensive linchpin Virgil van Dijk.
The £5.1m rated defender has seldom put a foot wrong and is a must-have player as Liverpool enter the business end of the season.
It’s no surprise that Alisson‘s arrival at Anfield has coincided with Liverpool’s exceptional defensive record.
The Brazilian shot-stopper has been a revelation this season and if you’re in the market for a new goalkeeper then look no further than the £4.2m man.
Man City
- Waford (H)
- Fulham (A)
- Cardiff (H)
- Crystal Palace (H)
- Spurs (H)
- Man United (A)
- Burnley (A)
- Leicester (H)
- Brighton (A)
On paper it looks as though City have the tougher fixtures as we approach squeaky-bum time.
Back-to-back clashes with Spurs and Man United might ultimately decide the fate of the title.
City host Spurs at the Etihad but will travel away to Old Trafford to face their bitter rivals in a much-anticipated grudge match.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men could well derail Guardiola’s chances of a fourth Premier League title.

City’s firepower has blown away numerous opponents this season and it’s two forward players who we are tipping to impress in the remaining weeks.
You can’t look beyond Sergio Aguero to deliver in the big moments as he’s so often done for City in the past.
The £6.7m Argentinian is the club’s top goalscorer in the league and we’re backing him to produce more Aguero madness™ in what remains of the season.
Raheem Sterling continues to go from strength-to-strength under Guardiola’s stewardship.
The winger has chipped in with 15 goals and 11 assists in the league this season and looks a player full of confidence.
If your budget will allow it we recommend the £6.8m for Sterling is well worth the hefty investment.
On paper the Citizens will face the trickier games out of the two sides between now and the end of the season.
That’s not to say we’re ruling out Guardiola’s men who have been there, done that and got the t-shirt when it comes to Premier League run-ins.
Strap yourselves in for potentially the most memorable title fight we’ve ever seen on these shores.
