‘Gucci Gang’ Rapper Lil Pump Slapped With A Tax Lien After Failing To Pay $1.6 Million

The rapper is reportedly dealing with a massive federal tax lien on his $5 million Miami mansion after failing to pay $1,676,738.65 on his 2018 tax bill, and it’s not the first time people have come after him to collect debts.

The 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, is a prominent member of the SoundCloud rap scene. He shot to international fame in 2018 with his hit song Gucci Gang which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and certified five-times platinum.

The Harvard Dropout singer is known to flex his riches on social media as he films himself buying jewelry, destroying luxury vehicles, and tossing around cash, despite reoccurring financial woes.

According to Radar Online, the Internal Revenue Service is now coming after Pump over his 2018 taxes, the same year Gucci Gang blew up. So while it looks like Pump was making racks of cash, he wasn’t handing the IRS their share.

The document warns the rapper that if he doesn’t pay up quickly the IRS will begin the process of seizing his property.

This isn’t the first time Pump has had his finances scrutinized by the IRS. Earlier this year, the agency filed a tax lien against him for unpaid taxes dating from 2019. In that year, Pump failed to pay back $89,378.69 in taxes but denied it to his 15 million social media followers.

In the post, Pump showed off his expensive jewelry and boasted about making $15 million.

“90 thousand that is on my wrist right now. Another 90, that’s on my neck. Don’t play with my body. Look, I have made over 15 million dollars, you know what the tax bill on 15 million dollars is? B****, 90k ain’t S*** to me. Stop playing with my body.”

It’s not just the IRS that is chasing Pump for unpaid debts. In August American Express sued the rapper and his company Lil Pump Touring for breach of contract. The company alleged that the rapper stiffed them on a $26,233.24 bill.

For what it’s worth, Celebrity Net Worth estimates the rapper has amassed a fortune of $8 million over his career.
