A body positivity influencer says she now refuses to cover up on holiday, saying she’s striking back and getting ‘sassy’ with those who stare at her bikini body.

British ‘body acceptance’ model Lauren Edge, 33, took to TikTok to explain that she was no longer hiding her size 16 figure from the world, but instead would be proudly displaying it in a bikini this summer.

The wife and mother-of-three posted a video showing how she previously concealed her bikini-clad body to please inquisitive stares. While in the next clip, she said she now ‘stares back’ so haters can feel as ‘uncomfortable’ as they once made her.

People praised her fearless spirit saying she looked ‘beautiful’, while one person suggested the awkward looks were provoked by secret admiration.

Alongside the video, Lauren wrote: ‘I can’t stand people who stare. I love getting sassy with them!’

The clip opens up with Lauren sitting poolside while dressed in a stunning floral two-piece as she huddles up under what appears to be an extra-large towel.

She looks timid and stares away from the camera, before adding: ‘How I used to act when people stared at me in a bikini’.

In the next scene, a bolder Lauren emerges and we see the content creator step out of her chair and proudly model her full figure while staring directly into the camera.

‘I stare back at them to make them feel as uncomfortable as they’ve tried to make me. They always look away’ she explained.

The video has proven hugely popular, racking up nearly 150,000 views and 127 comments.

One fan said she looked ‘amazing’.

A  second compliment said: ‘Good for you girl be confident and beautiful’.

Inspired by Lauren’s confidence, another said: ‘Beautiful lady, I am a pear-shape lady, wish I had your confidence’.

People praised Lauren’s fearless spirit, saying she looked ‘beautiful’ – while one person suggested the awkward looks were provoked by secret admiration

Meanwhile one user explained the looks may come from a place of admiration: ‘I think that maybe they are staring because you are absolutely beautiful! No need to feel ashamed or uncomfortable with yourself’. 

One person confessed they too get carried away when they see a ‘beautiful’ body: ‘I confess, I do stare at women sometimes but only when I like what I see. My eyes lock on beautiful things’.

Similarly in Texas, a  woman flaunted her curves online despite claiming she was not ‘summer ready’. 

Zulma Melecio, took to TikTok, to reveal that her ‘mood for this summer’ was accepting her body as it is.

The curvaceous woman, who recently tied the knot with her longtime partner Dalton, looked every inch the perfect model.

People adored the look and said that she was ‘beautiful’.

She wrote: ‘Accepting the fact that my body is not summer ready but that won’t stop me from enjoying my summer.’

In the video, she made sure to display her body from different angles, and left no curve undone.

She twirled around in a circle, revealing a slinky bandeau top that she paired with turquoise blue shorts. 

She paced back and forth in front of the camera and appeared to be delighted with what she saw.

As did many others, as expressed in nearly 50 comments.
