When Madison tried on bras in size 34B, she found that they didn’t fit properly, with gaps in the cups and a loose band. Seeking a more accurate fitting, Madison went for another measurement and was then shocked to find she was correctly measured as a 24L.
“How in the world can I be an L cup?” she said. Madison took to TikTok and shared a video comparing an ill-fitting 34B bra to a perfectly fitting 24L bra to her new size.
She highlighted the limited range of sizes offered by most brands and emphasised that there are hundreds of sizes that are not catered to.
In another video, Madison explained that a woman’s bra size is determined by the proportional measurements of their underbust and bust.
She explained that bra sizes are all about proportion, and someone with the same volume of breasts but smaller measurements would have a higher cup size and smaller band.

She said: “Someone with the same amount of boob volume and a smaller measurement here would be a higher cup size and a smaller band.”
Madison further explained she shares the same “boob volume” as someone wearing a 22M bra size and another person wearing a 30L size. Her story resonated with many viewers, who shared their own experiences of being told the wrong bra size.

Many expressed shock and disbelief upon realising their actual sizes, such as going from a 34C to a 30H or from an A or B cup to a DD.
“I just found out I’m a 32H and not a 34C and I’m flabber and ghasted,” another added.
Another said: “The classic bra stores telling me i’m a 40C, actually a 30H.”
