TRYING to decorate a room while sticking to a budget can be tricky.
When you have a blank canvas to work with the cost can soar.
This DIY whizz saved some serious cash when she transformed her bedroom.
She only had a small space to work with, so opted for a minimalist boho style that could utilise what she had.
To kick the transformation off, the decorating pro added wooden pallets to form a bed frame.
The look was super cheap to achieve, since you can get the pallets locally for next to nothing.
She then added bright white bedding, noting that the white colours "create an airy feeling that will help you feel relaxed."
The DIYer repurposed the side of her babies wooden cot, since they had outgrown it.
She made it into a chic plant holder for some added texture and colour.
Plastic plant holders from Ikea fitted perfectly into the the gaps, you'd never be able to tell what it once was.

Next, the pro added some boho themed décor, which she nabbed from Amazon.
The light feel of the room was enhanced by self adhesive film, which the decorator added to the window.
The leafy print made the room look much more open and vibrant.
The finished room looked completely different to the empty shell that she had started with.
The space was perfect for guests or for escaping the hustle and bustle of life for some zen.
