Paula Lane has joined the cast of Emmerdale, and will be making her on screen debut in a matter of months.
The TV star lives in Yorkshire with her husband of nine years, fellow soap star Tom Shaw, and their two children, Arthur and Penny.
The 37 year old regularly shares snaps of inside her stunning family home on social media, delighting fans with a glimpse of her cosy interiors.
The home features exposed brick walls throughout, giving it a cool, rustic vibe.
Her living room has a huge open fire, where her black Labrador, Stoodley, can often be found having a snooze.
The space also features a gallery wall, adorned with photographs of all Paula's nearest and dearest.
But there was a part of the house Paula admitted she had hated for nine years.
Sharing pictures of her new flooring, she wrote: "Thank you for bringing our floors back to life @woodfloorsanding_leeds. Amazing job and I'm completely in love with them after hating it for 9 years!!!"
Paula got into the festive spirit as she showed off her incredible Christmas tree, which is covered in lots of funky decorations.
Elsewhere, she's added fairy lights round the windows of her rustic home, which could easily be mistaken for Kate Winslet's cottage in The Holiday.
With filming set to take place imminently, Paula has expressed her excitement at kickstarting a “new chapter” on Coronation Street
“I’m so excited to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been so welcoming and I can’t wait to start a new chapter playing the role of Ella,” she said.
“I’ve already heard there are big plans for her and I can’t wait to see her navigate a new life in the village and hopefully make some friends.”
While she may be a new face on Emmerdale, Paula is no stranger to the world of soaps and appeared on Corrie between 2010 and 2016 where her character Kylie was married to David Platt.
However, after six years on the show, her character was killed off in a fatal stabbing.
Speaking to OK! about her departure from the show, Paula explained: “I'm not just saying this because I'm involved, but I don't think I've ever read an ending like it.”
