Inside I’m A Celeb stars’ very glamorous hotel they stay in after weeks in the jungle

As the latest series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, draws to a close, the remaining celebrities will no doubt be counting down the all important minutes until they are finally able to wave goodbye to the bare necessities of jungle living and return to civilisation and their much loved home comforts.

But rather than jetting straight off home to the UK, after weeks of enduring beans and rice, the stars will be whisked off to a luxury hotel to enjoy a little R&R before making the long trip home.

In previous years, the stars and their families have famously stayed at one of the Australian Gold Coast’s most famous hotels, the Palazzo Versace, however from 2022 onwards, the show has instead booked the stars into the nearby Marriott hotel instead, where they remain following their eliminations until the winner is ultimately crowned.

Speaking last year, a telly insider revealed: : “ITV has used the Versace ever since the series came to Queensland in 2004,” reports The Sun

"Those classic scenes of the muddy, exhausted celebs arriving in the glamorous, gleaming lobby are part of I’m A Celeb’s very fabric.

“The new hotel is lovely, but just different to the bouji opulence of the Versace, which is so well-known to viewers.”

Here, we take a closer look inside the new property and answer some of the most burning questions viewers have about the I’m a Celeb hotel.

Where exactly is the hotel?

The JW Marriott hotel which is currently housing the I’m a Celebrity stars is ideally situated halfway between Surfer’s Paradise and Main Beach, just off Ferny Avenue on Australia’s gold coast, which is itself around an hour’s drive South from Brisbane.

Thanks to its location, the resort is ideally placed for guests hoping to enjoy the famous surf swells, however, those hoping for more of a city break are equally blessed as the hotel is also in walking distance of plenty of the Gold Coast's other shops, eateries and amenities.

What does it look like inside?

Inside the hotel, the stars will be able to relax and unwind in picturesque settings, with each of the spacious rooms simply furnished in shades of white, grey and blue, all while maximising natural light.

After stepping into the building, visitors will be greeted by a beautiful lounge area, complete with white armchairs and soft, all set beside a teal rug and plenty of greenery to bring life and luxury into the space.

From here, an ample blue carpeted staircase leads on upstairs to the guest rooms and further facilities, which include a spa, gym, and of course a selection of on-site restaurants to tuck into some delicious food.

The modern building, which towers over the gold coast skyline, also features a wide array of rooms ranging from classic double rooms all the way up to more luxurious suites, with plenty of options available no matter the budget.

How much does it cost to stay – and is it open to the public?

Fans hoping to experience I’m a Celebrity life for themselves can actually book to stay at the Marriott, as the hotel is fully open to the public so long as there are rooms available.

Typically, one night at the hotel will set you back around £256 for a standard double room, however fans hoping for a true taste of showbiz luxury may want to opt for one of the JW Marriott’s high-end suites instead, with prices beginning at £650 a night.

According to the hotel website: ”JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa boasts luxurious rooms, award-winning service and a covetable hotel location on Ferny Avenue.

"Attend events at Gold Coast Convention Centre, treat the family to Sea World Gold Coast and stroll the beautiful beaches of Surfers Paradise.

"Our redesigned hotel rooms and suites offer an ideal setting to relax, complete with high-speed Wi-Fi, plush bedding and pristine marble bathrooms.

"Wake up feeling refreshed and ready for adventure in Surfers Paradise.”

What facilities does the hotel have?

Like many high end hotels, the JW Marriott offers a host of family-friendly families, including a peaceful saltwater lagoon and an outdoor freshwater pool with a slide to a fitness centre and Sport Court.

One of the standout features however, is that the hotel also offers a host of one-of-a-kind experiences directly in the hotel itself, which include everything from culinary cooking classes and JW Garden herb planting and guided tours, through to fish feeding and snorkelling lessons!

After a gruelling round of Bushtucker trials, many stars will no doubt be hoping to avail of the attached spa to enjoy a dose of R&R before jetting back home, with plenty of treatments on offer such as ultra soothing facials and a host of relaxing massage experiences.
