Michelle Keegan went all-out for her mum’s 60th birthday, taking the family out for a fancy birthday dinner and posing for plenty of snaps to capture the special day.

Mum Jackie has always been very close to daughter Michelle, so it’s no surprise the actress pulled out all the stops.

Joined by dad Michael and lookalike brother Andrew, the Keegan family made sure to take plenty of pictures to commemorate Jackie’s milestone birthday.

Michelle, 34, gave her 5.1 million Instagram followers a peek into family life up north, away from husband Mark Wright, 34, as she posted a series of images to her profile.

On Friday evening, she kept fans updated as she headed to the fancy Manchester restaurant Peter Street Kitchen.

Serving “Contemporary Japanese and Mexican small plates”, the luxury dining spot describes their offerings as “fine contemporary Japanese cuisine matched with the heat and zing from a selection of contemporary Mexican dishes, all complemented with the finest wines, sake and signature cocktails.”

The former Corrie star revealed she was the “first one” to arrive at the bash, joking on her Instagram stories that she’d “been stood up” by her parents and brother.

The family showed up soon after, and Michelle proceeded to share clips of her mum enjoying some birthday cake as she donned a hilarious novelty hairband which read “BIRTHDAY QUEEN”.

Another video from the evening shows Jackie attempting to take a boomerang on her phone, as brother Andrew, 30, laughs along.

Huge rows of tequila shots were also spotted in one clip, and the family gulped down plenty of wine to mark the occasion,` too.

Sharing a slideshow of images to Instagram, the star captioned the post: “Birthday Queen! The night we established mum was clueless when it came to boomerangs”

Attracting over 90K likes, the post went down a treat with the brunette beauty’s followers, with plenty of famous friends rushing to comment.

“Love her – happy birthday to our @jackieannethornton x x” commented Jess Wright, Michelle’s sister-in-law.

Actress Sheree Murphy added: “The boomerang” followed by a laughing face emoji.

The new post comes just days after Michelle shared a series of unseen throwback pictures to mark mum Jackie’s big day.

She described her mum as her “best friend” as she celebrated her turning 60 earlier this week.

Alongside the snaps, Michelle wrote: “What a woman! My mum, my best friend & hands down THE funniest human on the planet & I know many would agree.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY @jackieannethornton love you so much.”
