Ivanka and Eric Trump honored their late mother Ivana with a heartwarming message on what would have been the glamorous socialite’s 74th birthday. 

In a touching post shared on her Instagram account and her Instagram Stories, the 41-year-old former First Daughter paid a moving tribute to the late model and businesswoman, writing that she misses ‘the joy she brought into our lives and into the lives of so many,’ while her brother honored her as a ‘wonderful woman.’ 

Both her and Eric shared several stunning pictures of Ivana – Donald Trump’s first wife and mother to Ivanka and her two brothers, Donald Jr and Eric – as well as a few snaps of the family together. 

Ivana – who died aged 73 from injuries sustained by a fall in July 2022 – was honored by her daughter as ‘the funniest, smartest and most glamorous woman.’

Ivana Trump passed away at the age of 73 due to injuries sustained by a fall after being found ‘unconscious and unresponsive at the bottom of a set of stairs in her apartment’. She was last pictured (above) on June 22 in New York City

The series of heartening photos was captioned: ‘Today would have been my mom’s 74th birthday. She was the funniest, smartest and most glamorous woman I knew.

‘She lived each minute of her life to the absolute fullest. I miss the joy she brought into our lives and into the lives of so many.’ 

Eric took to his Instagram and paid a moving tribute to his late mom as well. 

He shared a collection of photos the ‘rockstar’ and said she was a ‘wonderful woman.’ 

He captioned the series of pictures: ‘Happy Birthday to this rockstar — She was a wonderful woman who is greatly missed.’

Ivanka also spoke out hours after Ivana was found dead inside her New York townhouse after a female worker found her unconscious at the bottom of a staircase. 

Emergency services were called to reports of someone in cardiac arrest, however a post-mortem ruled the cause of death an accident.  

At the time of her death, son Eric also shared a heartwarming tribute with Dailymail.com – penned by himself, Ivanka and Don Jr – which remembered Ivana as an ‘incredible woman’ who was ‘a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend’.

The joint statement recalled Ivana’s tough upbringing behind the Iron Curtain and her inspiring journey to the US, having fled communism in Czechoslovakia before moving to Canada and then New York City.

They said she ‘taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination’ and said she will be ‘dearly missed’.

Ivana was best-known as former President Trump’s first wife, marrying him when he was a real estate heir and business mogul in 1977.

The pair divorced in 992 because Trump was having an affair with the woman who would later become his second wife, Marla Maples. 

Following the divorce – for which she was granted a $14 million settlement and a mansion in Connecticut – Ivana left her modeling days behind and went on to become a businesswoman, media personality, fashion designer, and author. 

Despite a bitter divorce from former President Trump, the two reconciled in 2015. 

Ex-husband Donald broke the news of her death and remembered a ‘wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life’.

Eric also said: ‘It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump.

‘Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country.

‘She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.’

He wrote: ‘I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City.

‘She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her.’

Ivanka said her mother was ‘brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny’ before adding that she ‘modeled strength, tenacity and determination in her every action.’

Ivana was born in Czechoslovakia in 1949 to an electrical engineer father, Miloš Zelníček and telephone operator mother, Marie, however she relocated to Canada in the mid-1970s, before moving to the US, where she took up residence in New York City.

The then-teen used her impressive talents as a skier in order to plan her escape from behind the Iron Curtain; before her marriage to Trump, Ivana was wed to an Austrian ski instructor, Alfred Winklmayr.

She divorced Winklmayr shortly after she was granted an Austrian passport – and she then went on to enjoy a romance with a ski boutique owner in Montreal while also working as a ski instructor.

However, after just a couple of years of living in Canada, Ivana relocated to Manhattan to pursue her work as a model.

It was here that she met Trump, whom she wed in 1977, having first met him at an event that she attended with a group of fellow models.

Ivana wed Trump in a private ceremony held at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City – and they went on to have three children together: Donald Jr., born in 1977, Ivanka, born in 1981, and Eric, born in 1984.
