Kate Middleton and Prince William have just celebrated their 10-year anniversary.
And it seems Kate is keen to keep up the celebrations as she’s just given us a glimpse of a new hair look that’s reminiscent of her bridal hairstyle from 2011.
Wearing her brunette lengths in a half-up style, Kate is pictured looking demure yet stylish as she spoke to a charity founder via a video chat
The ends of her hair have been blow-dried and given a slight curl, and the front sections have been pulled back and twisted into a cross-over detail, with bobby pins used to secure the strands in place.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Instagram account offered a close-up look at the back of Kate’s head – and it shows just how gorgeous the style is.
Fans gushed over the ‘do, with many wanting to copy the look for themselves.
“Amazing work! On a side note, the Duchess has a beautiful hair style! I'm going to try that on my daughter's hair,” says one eager follower.
Another notes that she should “always take pictures like this”, so that we can always see the detail of her hair.
We think the style looks remarkably similar to Kate’s 2011 bridal look, where she had a near-identical half-updo.
Of course, it was tricky to see the exact detail of the back of her hair on her wedding day as a veil covered much of her head.
Kate has been favouring this type of updo for a few weeks now, and chose a similar style to visit Westminster Abbey for an event at the end of March. Since this was where she and Wills got married, it could also be seen as a sweet tribute to their anniversary.
While Kate plays around with her hairstyles quite frequently, sometimes going for super-sleek lengths and sometimes for a bouncy blow-dry, she rarely switches up her colour.
But towards the end of 2020 she appeared to have sneaked in a hair appointment in between salon closures to add some subtle “bronde” highlights to her naturally brown hair.
Now we’re wondering if she’ll be tweaking her brunette hue for the coming season.
Since everyone seems to be going blonde at the moment, we’re hoping the Duchess may join the trend and show off a lighter look again.
