This was nuts.
Kelly Ripa was left hysterically laughing when her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos’ crotch was unnecessarily blurred out on “Live with Kelly and Mark.”
Consuelos was playing soccer when he pulled his leg and needed to see a physiotherapist during a segment on Tuesday’s episode of their morning show.
For his medical visit, Consuelos was wearing dangerously tight shorts and the show decided to blur out his nether regions for the final edit.
“Are you crying?” Consuelos, 52, asked Ripa, also 52, when the show cut back to the live portion.
“No, I’m laughing because [of] the pixelation of your crotch,” Ripa howled while wiping away tears with a tissue.
Consuelos giggled along with his wife, explaining that the pixelation wasn’t necessary but that he was taking precautions.
“They didn’t need to pixelate it but I see how everybody gets a little uproar if it’s tight shirts, so I figured I might, just to play it safe,” he said.
It’s been nothing but chaos on “Live with Kelly and Mark” since Consuelos joined the show as former host Ryan Seacrest’s replacement last month.
Last week, the duo was blasted as “pathetic” for pre-recording episodes of their live show at least two months before they were scheduled to air.
However, a production source told Page Six exclusively that pre-taping parts of the show is very common and was done before Consuelos joined.
“They really just want to provide as much fresh material as possible for viewers to enjoy over the summer,” the source told us. “The schedule fluctuates weekly, and this is nothing new.”
The insider added that the couple is filming ahead of time so they can take a break over the summer.

Their first few episodes together were highly criticized by viewers with some calling the show “brutal” while others accused the co-stars of showing too much PDA.
Last month, a “Live” production source exclusively told The Post that Ripa and Consuelos were irritated by the backlash.
“Kelly’s been through this before — with every new co-host!” the insider said. “If it wasn’t Mark — say it was [Ripa’s pal] Andy Cohen — it would be the same exact story.”
But Ripa seems unfazed by the haters and praised her husband’s hard work.
“I had no concerns about how well he was going to do, and he really proved me right,” she told Us Weekly in April. “I’m so proud of him, but I was never worried.”
But Consuelos seemed to be his own worst critic, admitting that the show has definitely gone “off the rails” a few times since he took Seacrest’s seat.
“If it’s great, great. If it’s not so great, we’ll try better next time. And that’s been my approach. Just kind of be in the moment,” he said on SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham.”
This isn’t the first time Ripa and Consuelos shared the small screen. The lovebirds met while co-starring on the soap opera “All My Children” in the ’90s and tied the knot in 1996.
They share three children: Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 20.
