Man makes ‘Sunday treat’ with chips, Bisto and cheese that makes foodies ‘hurl’

Brits love eating well on Sundays – but this bloke's grub has caused quite the stir on social media.

Despite cheesy chips being a staple on British takeaway menus, the lad's fries didn't quite hit the spot.

He sparked fury by soaking his fries in 'watery' Bisto and grated cheddar on top, leaving some of the cheese to float in the liquid.

Their pal was so 'repulsed' by the 'Sunday night treat' that they took to Reddit to mock the creation.

"My mate’s ‘Sunday night treat’ makes me want to hurl", they blasted on the Casual UK subreddit.

"He only sent me the pic cos he knew I’d find it repulsive.

"I know cheesy chips is a thing and chips with gravy is a thing… but chips with watery Bisto & cheese together???"

It seems like they are not the only one to hate on the supposed 'treat', as swathes of Brits took to the comments to slam the munch.

Many felt that cheesy chips with gravy is fine – but could not defend the mate's attempt.

One person commented: "Cheesy chips with gravy is fine by me. What is on that plate isn't fine by me."

Another user mocked: "Do you not like lukewarm watery cheese? A cult classic."

While a third suggested: "It should be thick gravy with a generous lashing of cheese that melts into the gravy."

Someone else voiced: "It's a stellar idea just poor execution. With some tweaks it could be considered a meal."

Meanwhile, a fifth bashed: "Looks like the s***e I get from the takeaway at 4am. Delicious when you’re seeing triple, vile when you’re in any way sober."
