Most It bags will set you back four figures — but not JW Pei’s “Gabbi” purse.

Made from vegan leather and loved by celebrities like Megan Fox, Hailey Baldwin, Gigi Hadid and Irina Shayk, the croissant-shaped carryall will set you back just $89 on the brand’s site — although you can snag select colors for $79.99 on Amazon as well.

Instantly recognizable by its scrunchie-inspired handle, the “Gabbi” comes in a slew of saturated shades including grass green, peacock blue and bright pink, although it’s also available in neutral hues like black and ivory.

But is the hot handbag worth the hype? For the debut episode of Page Six Style’s new shopping-focused video series, “Heart to Cart,” I ordered one to try out at home.

While some faux leather styles tend to have an off-putting, plasticky smell, that wasn’t the case with this petite purse. It also felt buttery soft to the touch, and fit all of my usual essentials — although if you’re hoping to carry more than your phone, keys, lipstick, face mask and a small wallet, you might be out of luck.

The “Gabbi” was also a breeze to dress up and down; I wore it first with a tank top, denim skirt and sneakers, and later with a puff-sleeved floral midi dress and block-heeled sandals. In both cases, it earned me compliments — score!

My only quibble? While JW Pei’s website (and Ratajkowski’s street style snaps) suggests the bag can be slung over the shoulder, many might find the handle too short for that; it’s easier to just carry it in your hand or the crook of your arm.

But at well under $100, this affordable accessory’s still a smart buy for anyone looking to snag a little model-off-duty style.
