Jamie Oliver has shared an adorable video of his daughter Petal helping her brother Buddy to whip up some frozen yoghurt in their latest family cooking video.
The proud father-of-five, 47, posted the clip on his Instagram account this morning – where it has already amassed over 16,000 ‘likes’.
The one-minute video opens with the siblings standing in the kitchen of their Essex home and Jamie yelling at them to count down from three in the background.
After saying ‘hi guys’ in unison, Buddy, 12, explained: ‘Today we’re going to make the most delicious homemade ice cream in one minute.’
The easy-to-follow recipe only requires three tablespoons of plain yoghurt, two chopped bananas and some lime juice as an optional extra.
To begin with, the brother and sister – who have a two-year age difference – start by chopping their two ripe bananas into bitesize pieces.
Addressing other aspiring child home chefs, Buddy said: ‘Whenever you’re using a knife, make sure there’s always an adult [there to supervise].’
Once they had finished cutting up their fruit, Petal then looked around the family’s kitchen for a lime.
Before squeezing the juice over his banana, Buddy said: ‘The acid from the lime stops the banana going brown and also adds a lot more flavour.’
Demonstrating how to safely chop fruit at home, Buddy then showed viewers ‘the bridge’ method – which involves holding the lime steady with your thumb and index finger and cutting straight down.
After cutting the fruit into two perfect halves, Buddy struggled to get any juice out of it – prompting his big sister to take over.
Petal joked: ‘This is a challenging job!’
The teenager then grabbed a freezer bag and held it open for her little brother to pop the fruit in.

Jamie said the recipe was ‘perfect’ for the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend and teased viewers about another River appearance at the end of the video
Buddy explained: ‘You’re going to pop these bananas into a bag and freeze them for about half a day.’
The siblings then said in unison: ‘Right, let’s make some ice cream!’
In the next clip, Buddy struggled to reopen the cold freezer bag.
As Petal giggled to herself, their dad Jamie joked off-camera: ‘I thought you said it was one-minute ice cream.’
Once he’d managed to open the bag, Buddy then poured the bananas into a food processor and whizzed them into a smooth paste.

How to make Buddy and Petal’s fro-yo:
– Chop two ripe and bananas and top with lime juice (optional)
– Freeze them for half a day
– Pop the frozen bananas in a food processor until they become a paste
– Add three tablespoons of frozen yoghurt and turn the processor off when it’s mixed
– Scoop the mixture into ice cream cones and top with sprinkles, chocolate shavings and cinnamon
‘It smells so good,’ Petal said, before running off-camera to grab a plastic spatula.
Buddy and Petal then added poured tablespoons of yoghurt into the processor and blitzed it until the mixture had thickened.
Explaining what to do next, Buddy said: ‘We’re going to use the spoon we used for the yoghurt and get cone and fill it up with ice cream.’
Petal added: ‘Remember to do this quickly before it melts.’
The pair finished off by adding some chocolate sprinkles, chocolate shavings and a sprinkling of cinnamon.
The video ends with Petal and Buddy calling their younger sibling River, six, in from the garden to enjoy an ice cream.
‘Delicious,’ River and Buddy say as they tuck into their sweet treat, before Petal gives a quick ‘whoop!’
Earlier this month, River even joined Buddy in a video where he whipped up homemade pasta.
Jamie captioned the clip: ‘Over to Buddy and Petal this morning….this is their “1-minute” FRO-YO!
‘We had such a giggle filming this, especially when River rocked up for the tasting!! prep this today and you and the kids are in for a treat this weekend!! Perfect timing as the #BankHoliday forecast is looking good!!!
