Legendary rock photographer Mick Rock — who snapped everyone from David Bowie to Miley Cyrus — will be honored at two events in New York a year after his death.
Fotografiska will host a book release and life celebration event Monday, on what would’ve been Rock’s 74th birthday. We’re told guests at the event will be able to preview Rock’s final book, “Shot by Rock: A Celebration of the Life of Mick Rock.”
Additionally, “there will be stories told and an original short film of outtakes from Mick Rock’s acclaimed film ‘SHOT! The Psycho Spiritual Mantra Of Rock,’” the museum says on its site.
We hear that designer John Varvatos, director John Cameron Mitchell, The Feelies singer Glenn Mercer, The Bongos’ Richard Barone and DJ duo The Muses are among storytellers and performers for the evening.
