A New York University professor has said that ‘mating dynamics’ should be taught to young men at school because ‘approaching women and making them feel safe is a skill’.

Professor Scott Galloway, 58, spoke to Steven Bartlett for his Diary of A CEO podcast where he also advised young men should ‘moderate their consumption of porn’ so they will ‘take less risks with women outside the house’.

Speaking in the episode, titled ‘It’s An Emergency! The Number of Men Having No Sex Increased 180%’ he added that he was concerned about the rise of AI sex bots saying men will start having relationships with machines which will lead to loneliness and depression.

He said that men need to ‘go out n the physical world and express human interest’ and ‘risk rejection.

‘We are developing these digital analogs of life that create low entry, low risk relationships, you think that’s not a bad thing, well it is, because it leads to depression,’ he explained.

Professor Scott Galloway said mating dynamics should be thought to young men in school as ‘approaching women, and making them feel safe is a skill’

‘The reason romantic comedies are two hours and not twenty minutes is because life is about the victory of taking risks and enduring rejection.’

He went onto say he thinks mating dynamics should be taught to young men in school as ‘approaching women, and making them feel safe is a skill.’

‘Pursuing someone and developing the skills, deciding to put on a clean shirt, maybe showering more often, maybe hitting the gym every once and a while and maybe text when you are unsure how this person feels about you.

‘And figuring out how to act, so you can develop a relationship, that is the victory, that is the payoff.

‘Fewer and fewer men are engaging in those risks and I think AI and the combination with sex bots is going to create an industry were men start having relationships with algorithms and dolls .

‘Supposedly the sex bot industry is going to be bigger than the domestic box office receipts of all the theatres in the US within five to six years.

‘So we are going to have men having relationships with machines and dolls as opposed to other humans, it creates a level of depression.

The clinical professor of marketing at the New York University appeared on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, hosted by entrepreneur Steven Bartlett (pictured) , earlier this week

‘The end game is a relationship, a romantic partner is one of the keys to a happy life and most studies play that out.’

Elsewhere the professor gave tips for young people to build real-life connections amidst online distractions.

He said: ‘When I coach young men I asked them to get out their phones and I look at their screen time and I think, what do you have as a young person, you have a lack of financial capital but you have a lot of human capital and that’s really important, time.

‘So we are going to think of your time as money, now how are you going to invest it, look at your current portfolio.

‘I ask them to take out their phones and between Twitter, TikTok and Porn it’s so easy to find a minimum of 10 or sometimes up to 50 hours a week, and we are going to reallocate it.’

He went onto say reallocating time to ‘make money’ is the first step to build self esteem, next he said to do an activity that puts you in the presence of strangers to build people skills.

Scott also expressed concerns about the rise of AI sex bots saying men will start having relationships with machines which will lead to loneliness and depression

Scott went onto say the next step was to ‘moderate the consumption of porn’ as this will give boys the ‘mojo’ to find a romantic partner.

He said: ‘One of the only reasons I graduated from UCLA was because one of my motivations for going to class wasn’t because I wanted to learn, not only that I needed to learn to graduate, but the prospect of potentially meeting a woman.

‘If I had the access to porn that young men do now I’m not sure that mojo would of been as great to get out of the house as often.

‘To tell young men not to engage in porn is sort of ridiculous but look at it analytically would you be more inclined to get out of the house and take risks, engage in the victory and engage what it is to be a man and a mammal and ensured that fire was still there.’

‘I think spending less time online [is important]. Every aspect of your life is a sh**** version of the analog version that can happen.’

The professor went onto say this is affecting woman as they are deciding to date older men because they want more ‘economically and emotionally viable men.’
