The royal couple were attending an institutional act of recognition to professionals and volunteers who participated in the different fire extinguishing work in Tenerife.

The aim of their trip is to learn about the impact of the forest fires that have been ravaging the island since mid-August and that affected more than 14,000 hectares in a perimeter of 90 kilometers across 12 municipalities.

Earlier today, Letizia looked pensive as she visited Tenerife with her husband King Felipe to learn about how the area has been impacted by the forest fires.

The Spanish Queen looked stylish in a pair of fitted dogtooth trousers, which she paired with a dark top, and light jacket.

Her long dark locks, which she has been praised for leaving natural, rather than dying over all her greys, were worn loose and straight over her shoulders.

Meanwhile, Letizia opted for a chick make-up look, pairing her fresh base with a natural lip, and light brown smokey eyeshadow.

She kept her jewellery simple, with small hoop earrings, and a gold ring on her index finger. Finally, she finished the outfit with a simple pair of patent black loafers.

Letizia and Felipe were visiting the areas affected by a forest fire at the Chipeque Viewpoint, Santa Úrsula.
