Robert De Niro spends 78th birthday in France with gal pal

The bull rages a bit quieter these days.

Robert De Niro seems to be recovering well from the leg injury he sustained filming Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” earlier this year, celebrating his 78th birthday with a boat ride in France with a gal pal by his side.

The “Goodfellas” star was photographed while exiting Hotel Eden Roc in France with a companion ID’d by paps as Tiffany Chen, a New York-based martial arts instructor.

Chen, who has a long list of competitive martial arts wins under her belt, appeared alongside De Niro in “The Intern” in 2015, teaching his and co-star Anne Hathaway’s character tai chi in a park.

Page Six has reached out to a rep for DeNiro for comment.

Both wore face masks, with DeNiro keeping his on as he was helped aboard a small boat by its crew.

De Niro’s getaway comes days after the “Taxi Driver” actor was spotted in New York City, hitting the streets of Tribeca for the first time without his post-injury knee brace.

De Niro told IndieWire of the injury, “I tore my quad somehow … [It was] just a simple stepping over something and I just went down. The pain was excruciating and now I have to get it fixed. But it happens, especially when you get older, you have to be prepared for unexpected things.”

Page Six confirmed in May that De Niro was in Oklahoma filming at the time, but the accident did not occur on the set.
