A fringe isn’t exactly a groundbreaking new hair trend, but it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that we’re seeing a slew of celebrities chopping in face-framing layers or a feathery fringe at the moment.
The latest famous face to join their ranks is This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, who recently upgraded her hairstyle with the addition of a fringe – something that viewers first got a look at on Tuesday morning’s instalment of the ITV show.
We have to say that this new addition suits the 37 year old down to a tee. It’s perfectly feathery and long enough to be swept into a seventies curtain bangs style, so she and her hairdresser have really struck the right balance with the new cut.
The hair makeover really stole the show when Josie returned to the famous sofas this week, as Twitter was soon ablaze with compliments from This Morning viewers on the new look. "Josie totally suits the fringe!!" one tweeted, as another agreed, "I am loving Josie’s fringe.”
"So pleased to see you have styled that fringe out Josie!!!!! You look as hot as hell today!!!" a third enthused.
In other fringe news, this time regarding a member of the Loose Women panel, Frankie Bridge has also recently stepped out with a brand new fringe that has a real “French girl” feel to it.
Wearing her hair in a tousled updo, the 33 year old’s new fringe is the picture of choppy perfection and went straight on our hair inspiration Pinterest boards.
Frankie also gave her fans a look inside the actual haircut process at London’s Larry King in an Instagram Reel, which saw her get her hair extensions removed and her signature bob taken even shorter, as well as the trendy new fringe being cut in.
As well as her bob being a little shorter and blunter, like Josie the star’s new fringe has been kept slightly longer, so that Frankie can style it out into the curtain bangs look.
Clearly there’s something in the water!
