The 77th Tony Awards are moving to the Upper West Side and will take place at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. It’s the fourth location change in four years for Broadway’s biggest night, held in prior years at Washington Height’s United Palace Theater, Radio City Music Hall and the Winter Garden Theatre.

CBS will broadcast the show on Sunday, June 16. It will also stream live and on demand on Paramount+, which shares a parent company with the network. Nominations, which honor the 2023-24 Broadway season, will be announced on Tuesday, April 30. A host has yet to be announced.

Ariana DeBose hosted the 76th annual Tonys, which went without a script in solidarity with the WGA strike. Nevertheless, the ceremony was watched by 4.3 million people and became the most-viewed Tonys telecast since 2019. This year’s show was historic for reasons beyond viewership and absence of mid-show banter. Alex Newell (“Shucked”) and J. Harrison Ghee (“Some Like it Hot”) became the first openly nonbinary performers to win Tonys.

Some of the musicals and plays that’ll vie for awards include a revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along,” starring Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez; “Guttenberg! The Musical,” which reunites the “Book of Mormon” duo Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad; “The Notebook,” an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel; and “Purlie Victirous,” which brings Leslie Odom Jr. back to the stage after his Tony-winning turn in “Hamilton.”

The Tony Awards are produced in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, and White Cherry Entertainment. Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss are executive producers for White Cherry Entertainment. Weiss will serve as director.
