Vanessa Hudgens is “crying” over her ex Austin Butler’s viral Elvis Presley accent.
On Thursday, Ryan Scott shared an Instagram post, which featured a Page Six article about Butler’s viral cadence.
“He went to the Lady Gaga school of Oscar campaign acting,” Scott captioned the post, catching Hudgens’ attention.
“Crying,” the “High School Musical” alum wrote in the comments section.
Scott was seemingly poking fun at the “Just Dance” singer’s Italian accent from the 2021 film “House of Gucci,” which many believed had an Eastern European flair.
Hudgens’ reaction was prompted after the “Elvis” actor’s voice coach said his new accent might be here to stay.
“What you saw in that Golden Globes speech, that’s him. It’s genuine, it’s not put on,” Irene Bartlett told ABC Gold Coast after Butler was dragged for still sounding like the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll during his acceptance speech.
“I feel sorry people are saying that, you know, it’s still acting [but] he’s actually taken [the voice of Presley] on board.”
Hudgens, 34, and Butler, 31, dated for almost a decade, during which time the “Spring Breakers” actor suggested her then-boyfriend should play Presley on screen.
Butler recently made headlines after referring to Hudgens as a “friend” while retelling the story on the Hollywood Reporter’s “Actors Roundtable” earlier this month.
Butler and Hudgens were first linked at fellow Disney Channel alum Ashley Tisdale’s sister’s birthday in 2011 and dated until January 2020.
Butler has since moved on with model Kaia Gerber, who was on hand to celebrate with a smooch when he won the 2023 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of the “Hound Dog” singer.
Hudgens, for her part, has been loved up with MLB star Cole Tucker since 2020.
