She was said to have been “knocked sideways” by the news that ex-husband Jamie Redknapp is expecting a child with his girlfriend Frida.

Now former Strictly star Louise Redknapp is taking time out to work on herself.

In new Instagram Story posts the 46-year-old mum of two tells her 720k followers how "impressed" she is after trying the non-surgical body contouring treatment Lipofirm – which she’s been having done to get in great shape ahead of her upcoming UK tour.

Tagging herself at Lottie London Aesthetics, she writes: “I’m really impressed with this treatment, guys. It’s called Lipofirm x.”

Louise is pictured looking fresh-faced with her honey-blonde hair falling past her shoulders, as she thanks her therapist for booking her in for the session. A quick glance at Lottie London’s Instagram shows the star looking radiant in front of the machine.

“Louise is in great shape, she leads a healthy lifestyle, regularly exercises and does Pilates. We just wanted to smooth everything out to get her ready for the summer and her upcoming tour,” reads the caption.

What is Lipofirm Pro exactly?

This non-invasive treatment sculpts and tightens the skin using a combination of radiofrequency and dynamic muscle activation. The two work together to reduce wrinkles, tighten skin, and break down fat.

The radiofrequency energy generates heat, and that heat is delivered to a target area like the abdomen or buttocks by a single probe. It can also be used to tighten skin on the face with a smaller probe head. Electrical pulses then stimulate the skin, helping to break down fat cells. The “squeezing” effect of the treatment also helps activate the muscles.

Prices typically average from £150-£300 per session, and you’ll need around three sessions spaced quite close together to see best results. Though many people note an instant increase in firmness to the area, optimal results on cellulite are at the 4-6 week mark.

Many clinics now offer the treatment, and a simple scan through Lipofirm’s clinic locator here will show you your nearest one, but if you’re local to London we recommend Lisa Harris Skin Science, where sessions start from £180.

Louise isn’t the only celeb to hail this tightening treatment, as the brand claims model Demi Rose, presenter Denise Van Outen, singer Kimberley Walsh, TV personality Katie Price, and Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson are all fans.

It’s likely Louise is trying this treatment in addition to a fitness body blitz, as the star recently posted about getting back into Pilates “after three years”.

“I had a fab time – not gonna lie it hurt a bit,” she says. “Felt good to be back….feel loads better even after just one session.”

We don’t know if Louise is just keen to get toned and fit post-lockdown, or if she’s working on a new look to celebrate her single life. Either way, she’s looking incredible.
