Bottled it! Woman texts photo of herself enjoying champagne at party to her BOSS – just moments after saying she couldn’t work due to bad weather

A woman has been left mortified after mistakenly texting her boss a photo of herself enjoying a bottle of champagne at a party – just moments after telling him she couldn’t make it to work.

Roberta Clark, 20, from Drumchapel, Glasgow, text her boss to say she wouldn’t be to make it into work due to severe weather conditions, as the Scottish city has been battling with plummeting temperatures and snow.

But the electrician really just wanted the day off as she was celebrating at a gender reveal party for a pregnant friend in nearby Cumbernauld, where she intended to text her girlfriend about a magnum of champage, but accidentally fired it off to her boss instead.

Her boss text her to ask if she would be able to come in for a shift, which she said wasn’t possible because she was snowed in.   

Unfortunately, just moments after shooting off the text, Roberta accidentally sent another message,  with a photo of a huge bottle of champagne on ice.

‘Dare me to pop that,’ she wrote accompanying the image.

Mortified, Roberta immediately realised her mistake and revealed her mishap to her girlfriend, Shannon Watson, 21, who later shared the mishap on Twitter.

Just moments after shooting off the text, Roberta accidentally sent another message: with a photo of a huge bottle of champagne on ice.

‘My girlfriend texted her boss today saying she was stuck somewhere cause the snow so can’t come in & she’s just accidentally sent her boss this,’ she wrote followed by three laughing emojis and a screenshot of the text. 

The tweet quickly gained traction and got nearly 100 likes,  with people laughing at the unfortunate error.

Thankfully, the manager didn’t call Roberta out on the lie but took the situation surprisingly well.

‘My girlfriend texted her boss today saying she was stuck somewhere cause the snow so can’t come in & she’s just accidentally sent her boss this,’ she wrote followed by three laughing emojis and a screenshot of the text.

‘She was left mortified,’ Shannon said.

‘After she accidentally messaged him the photo.

‘She got really worried but thankfully he replied saying, “see you tomorrow!’.”
