Zachary Quinto is applauding Kim Kardashian’s acting chops in the upcoming season of “American Horror Story.”
Quinto said that Kardashian, 42, was “really in her element” on set and he was “really impressed by her spirit and her openness.”
“I really look forward to seeing this season because I think she’s gonna do a wonderful job,” the “Star Trek” star added.
In April, it was revealed that the Skims founder, 42, would be appearing in the 12th season of the horror series.
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the ‘AHS’ family,” the series’ co-creator Ryan Murphy, 57, told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement at the time.
The outlet also reported that Kardashian would take on a role that was specifically written with her in mind.
She will join longtime “AHS” star Emma Roberts in the anthology’s newest installment, titled “Delicate,” based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel “Delicate Condition.”
Following Murphy’s announcement, Kardashian shared the teaser for the FX show on her Instagram account with the caption, “👀🩸.”

Several stars spoke out against the reality star’s casting, including Patti LuPone.
“I don’t [like it],” the Broadway legend, 74, said on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on April 23, accusing Kardashian of taking roles from experienced actors.
“Excuse me, excuse me, Kim. You know, what are you doing with your life? Don’t get on the stage, Mrs. Worthington,” LuPone said in reference to English composer Noël Coward’s 1935 song “Mrs. Worthington” about overly zealous momagers.
Sharon Stone also chimed in on the Skkn founder’s new role, writing in an Instagram comment that actors have “studied” and “suffered” for their work.
“It may not be brain surgery but we do treasure our art,” the “Basic Instinct” star, 65, wrote. “Ten thousand hours; it’s a thing.”
After the backlash, Kardashian revealed that she was taking her craft seriously by taking acting classes.
“It’s a challenge,” the “Kardashians” star told Variety last month. “I like to challenge myself.”
Season 12 of “American Horror Story” is expected to be released this summer.
