Anthony Joshua confirms he WILL sign contract for Tyson Fury fight on December 3 as he says 'it's with the legal team' | The Sun

ANTHONY JOSHUA has revealed that he is set to sign his Battle of Britain contract to face Tyson Fury on December 3.

The two-time heavyweight champion, 32, agreed a 60/40 purse split to face WBC king Fury earlier this month.


But the fight is yet to officially be signed, with the Gypsy King telling AJ on Saturday he has until Monday to put pen to paper on their bout.

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn only recently declared that AJ's camp will not sign the contract by tomorrow's deadline.

However the 2012 Olympic gold medallist has now taken to his Snapchat account where he has cleared up the situation.

He said: "I've been signing contracts for years.

"It's not in my hands, it's with the legal team.

"That's why you hire lawyers. If you know the history of boxing make sure you get your legal terms right.

"That's why you got good managers and good lawyers.

"So of course I'm going to sign the contract.

"It's just with some lawyers at the minute."

It is understood that Fury and AJ will square off at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

Fury last week delivered an X-rated message to Joshua urging the 2012 Olympic gold medallist to sign the contract.

In a clip he shared on social media, he said: "Sign the contract AJ you little p***y.

“Sign the bloody contract p***y boy.”

Derek Chisora, who was has been beaten twice by Fury, has backed AJ to prevail in the domestic dust-up.

Del Boy told Fury he will lose to his face when the pair spoke at the AO Arena last night where Joe Joyce knocked out Joseph Parker.
