1min: Manchester United have started strong. They are imposing themselves and firing balls forwards. They could be on to make history tonight… and they look like they want it!

And… just like that, we are underway. It is Crystal Palace who get the action started at Selhurst Park.

Erik ten Hag’s side are looking to win their 10th consecutive game in all competitions, while Crystal Palace are desperate to turn their form around after three consecutive losses.

But, who will emerge victorious? Only time will tell. Make sure you stayed tuned for all the latest updates from the game.

Crystal Palace starting XI: Guaita, Clyne, Richards, Guéhi, Mitchell, Doucouré, Hughes, Olise, Zaha, Édouard, Mateta

Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes, Antony, Weghorst, Rashford.

Substitutes: Heaton, Bishop, Maguire, Lindelof, Malacia, Fred, McTominay, Garnacho, Pellistri, Elanga.

Marcus Rashford has scored in each of his last seven appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, From those games, he has found the back of the net eight times.

Should he score this evening, he could become the first United player to score in eight consecutive appearances since Ruud van Nistelrooy in May 2003.

Speaking to Football Odds and Betting, Gordon Strachan said: ‘The signing of Wout Weghorst isn’t a waste for Man United. The fact is that most football fans don’t understand most things about football.

‘All they really want to see are shots and tackles. If I went to any ground and asked the fans what system their team were playing, they wouldn’t have a clue. All they want to see is their team winning.

‘Weghorst had a good goalscoring record at Wolfsburg. He went to Burnley and only scored a couple of goals but Burnley didn’t score goals at that point anyway, they were getting relegated so he has to be in a team that will create chances and Man United will do that. He will give them alternative options, that’s for sure.

‘Long-term, I’ve no idea how it’ll work out but the fans have to trust Erik ten Hag.’

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has become the first bidder for Manchester United to formally throw his hat into the ring.

A spokesman for Ratcliffe, one of Britain’s richest men and a boyhood United fan, confirmed on Tuesday that his company Ineos is interested in buying the club, saying: ‘We have formally put ourselves into the process.’

Ratcliffe is expected to face rival interest from the United States, Asia and the Middle East after the Glazer family revealed their willingness to sell United following 17 years in power at Old Trafford.

Speaking to NewsCasionUK, Smith said: ‘Wan Bissaka has done really well, and I know that Dalot was playing until his injury after Ten Hag came in,” he said.

‘I think defensively he’s looked really solid but that both players give the manager different options. Wan Bissaka is very good defensively but maybe doesn’t give us as much going forward as Diego does. Anybody going back to their old club always wants to do well.

‘He’s still a young player in the grand scheme of things and playing to Man United is a massive task, and once you do lose a bit of confidence and have a few injuries, it is difficult to regain that form and that self-belief.

‘I think he’s got that from the new manager, got his self-belief back. The competition for places is a big thing too, and he’s also learning from Dalot.’

He told Boyle Sports: ‘Man United are in superb form and I expect a comfortable 3-1 win here against an out-of-sorts Palace side

‘I think Marcus Rashford will extend his goal-scoring form and Ten Hag’s side will breeze past Palace.’

Speaking about his side’s current former, the Palace boss said: ‘We want to improve every aspect of the football club. Look at the performance we had against Chelsea on Sunday.

‘In that performance, we showed ambition in the way we want to play the game. We keep working and we keep believing in ourselves, because the chances are there.

‘I want my players to be more ruthless inside the box and take those chances.’

Manchester United‘s latest signing, Wout Weghorst, trained with his new teammates for the first time on Sunday and could feature for the first time this evening.

Weghorst completed his move to Old Trafford until the end of the season on Friday last week, signing on loan from Champions side Burnley.

The striker had been on loan at Besiktas during the first half of the season, but United agreed to pay the Turkish side a compensation fee to terminate his deal.

It could be game over this evening if Manchester United take the lead because… as it stands, the Red Devils are the only team to have won every Premier League game in which they have led this season.

Manchester United are on a Premier League winning-streak and will look to continue this evening. As it stands, Manchester United have won five consecutive Premier League fixtures.

Manchester United are looking to secure their 10th straight victory in all competitions. It would mark United’s longest run in 14 years since an 11-match streak under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Crystal Palace star, Wilfried Zaha, will be looking to turn his form around this evening. But, should he fail to score again, he will go six consecutive Premier League appearances without finding the back of the net for the first time since January to April 2021.

However, history may be on Zaha’s side as he has scored three goals in his last three games against Manchester United.

More bad news for you Palace fans! Patrick Vieira’s side already equalled last season’s final tally of four home defeats – with each of them coming in London derbies.

Palace have had very little success in their most recent Premier League encounters. Unfortunately, Palace have lost four of their past five league matches. They have also failed to score in each of those games.
