A darts player has been branded a ‘trend setter’ by fans after his tiny stems were spotted during a match.
Rob Grundy has been in action at the MODUS Super Series, which is open to any player who doesn’t possess a PDC Tour card. Offering generous prize money, it is open to young players on the way up, legends of the game and anyone in between.
Broadcast online, it has become a hit with darts fans, who get to see players they otherwise wouldn’t be aware of and has provided plenty of memorable since its creation.
One match that got fans talking involved Grundy and in particular his equipment, which feature massive barrels and the smallest of stems.

“Kind of Cross bow bolt instead of arrow,” quipped a third. A fourth added: “The stems of someone that doesn't need to compensate for something. That’s why I use the longest stems I can find.”
