Erling Haaland transfer to Man City done deal with move from Borussia Dortmund set to be announced THIS WEEK

MANCHESTER CITY are set to announce the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland THIS WEEK, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has scored an impressive 85 goals in 88 appearances for the German giants, making him one of the most highly sought-after talents in world football.

And according to The Athletic, Premier League champions Man City have won the race for his signature.

City are set to inform Dortmund of their "intention to activate" Haaland's £64million release clause.

The report states that personal terms between the player and City were agreed last month when he gave his approval to the switch.

Haaland will pick up an eye-watering £500,000-a-week on a five-year deal.

A move to City would see Haaland follow in the footsteps of dad Alf.

The former Norwegian international played 38 times for City in a three-year stay.

Haaland was linked with a move to Dortmund's rivals Bayern Munich, with star man Robert Lewandowski's future uncertain.

But director Hasan Salihamidzic ruled out a move for the striker.

Speaking to Sport1, he said: "We won’t be Erling Haaland’s next club – that’s for sure."

Despite Haaland's pending arrival at the Etihad, forward Gabriel Jesus isn't expected to leave the club despite being linked with a move to Arsenal.

The Brazilian is tied down until the summer of 2023 and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on a reunion with Jesus, who he worked with during his time at City.

But according to transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Jesus is unlikely to leave with Pep Guardiola reluctant to offload the 2019 Copa America winner.
