MAX VERSTAPPEN is the odds-on favourite to win the F1 Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday.

Max Verstappen can clinch the Formula 1 world championship for the second time at Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.

Although in all likelihood the Dutchman will have to wait until the following race in Japan to put things mathematically out of sight.

Verstappen is 116 points clear of second-placed Charles Leclerc with six races remaining.

Providing he wins, Verstappen would need Ferrari's Leclerc to finish ninth or lower to be crowned champion.

Alternatively, the 24-year-old will grab the title if he sets the fastest lap and Leclerc finishes lower than seventh.

Of course, Leclerc has never finished outside the top six when he has completed a race this year.
